Brickerang
A downloadable game
Gravity got it wrong.
The blocks don't fall here — they launch off your paddle and fly up. Your job is to keep them in the air long enough to slot them into the stack hanging above your head.
Every piece takes off the instant it appears. There's no pause, no aiming phase, no moment to think it over: it's already in flight. Crank the paddle to send it back up, line it up with the stack overhead, and press A to pin it in place. Fill a full row and it clears, just like you'd expect — except the whole thing is upside down.
The ceiling is impatient.
Juggle the same piece too long and it starts closing in on you. A few pixels the fifth time you bounce it, a few more the eighth, then a little every single bounce after that. It never goes back up. Play it safe and you'll still have room ten minutes in; dither over every placement and you'll find yourself playing in a slot barely taller than the paddle.
Miss three pieces and it's over. So is letting the stack get pushed past the danger line.
Controls
- Crank — move the paddle
- A — lock the piece to the stack (only above the dotted net)
- B — rotate the piece
The dotted net tracks the bottom of the stack and turns solid the moment a lock is possible. That's your window. It's about a second wide at the start, and it gets tighter.
Your best score is saved on the console.
